Australia is mourning today after devastating fires in Victoria, some of which are still raging uncontrollably as I type. 84 lives lost, and I fear many more to come.
My friend (the one who lost her Dad last week) lost her house in Kinglake. Her kids' school, her husband's workplace all gone too. Thankfully she and her family are all safe. Ironically, because they were in the city to scatter her father's ashes on Port Phillip Bay. Many of her friends weren't so lucky. She has lost 8 she knows of so far.
My heart aches for her, and for all of those who have lost loved ones and property in the last 24 hours or so. Strength and love to you all.
